WWE paid tribute to a fallen comrade this week on RAW as it celebrated the life/career of The Ultimate Warrior. Also on the show a tournament began to crown a new #1 contender for Big E‘s IC Championship, RybAXEL kept their newfound winning streak alive, Divas Champ Paige took on Alicia Fox and Evolution reunited for one goal: the elimination of The Shield.

MATCH RESULTS

1. IC Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament (QF): Rob Van Dam defeated Alberto Del Rio via pinfall with the FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH.

2. Ryback & Curtis Axel defeated Cody Rhodes & Goldust.

3. Non-Title Match: *WWE Divas Champion* Paige defeated Alicia Fox via submission with the SCORPION CROSSLOCK.

4. Batista & Randy Orton defeated *WWE Tag Team Champions* The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) via DQ when The Shield interfered.

5. IC Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament (QF): Cesaro [w/ Paul Heyman] defeated Mark Henry via pinfall with the NEUTRALIZER.

6. Alexander Rusev [w/ Lana] defeated Xavier Woods via submission with the ACCOLADE.

7. IC Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament (QF): Sheamus defeated Jack Swagger [w/ Zeb Colter] via pinfall with the BROGUE KICK.

8. Fandango & Layla defeated Santino Marella & Emma when Layla pinned Emma.

9. IC Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament (QF): Bad News Barrett defeated Dolph Ziggler via pinfall with the BULL HAMMER.

10. The Shield (*WWE US Champion* Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, & Roman Reigns) fought Alberto Del Rio, Jack Swagger, Bad News Barrett, Alexander Rusev, Fandango, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Titus O’Neil, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, & Drew McIntyre to a NO-CONTEST.

  • Post-Match: The reformed Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton, & Batista) came out and beat down The Shield some more with their finishing moves, ending the night standing tall.

SEGMENTS/NOTES

-The show began with a video and 10 bell salute to The Ultimate Warrior.

Damien Sandow was scheduled to face The Big Show, but mouthed off to him beforehand and ate a KO PUNCH for his troubles before it could even begin.

John Cena and Bray Wyatt had a verbal confrontation, eventually resulting in Cena challenging Wyatt to a cage match at Extreme Rules. Wyatt happily accepted.

-WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan was not on the show this week as he was on his honeymoon with new wife Brie Bella.

Kane took his old mask out of the glass case in The Authority’s office, stroked its hair, and insinuated he was going back to the Big Red Monster he was before he went corporate.
